Corporate Partner James R. Howe was quoted in a Private Equity International article on the European buyout M&A market in the first half of 2020 amidst the pandemic. Despite a decrease in overall private equity investments and exits in Europe, buyout activity has continued in the region due to unprecedented levels of dry powder to be deployed and the range of asset classes across which larger GPs invest. “While it doesn't surprise me that there was an immediate drop off in M&A, how significant that really has been is harder to tell. We continue to see enthusiasm and conversations around new transactions,” James noted.
