Simpson Thacher was named “Private Equity Team of the Year” as part of the 2020 IFLR Americas Awards. The Firm was noted for advising preeminent private equity sponsors in several significant deals, including Blackstone in its acquisitions of Dream Global REIT and GLP’s U.S. logistics business and EQT in its acquisition of Waystar Health. The IFLR Americas Awards honor legal innovation in cross-border transactions in the region.
In addition, the Firm was recognized for having advised Genesee & Wyoming in its approximately $8.4 billion sale to Brookfield Infrastructure and GIC, which was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year.”
