Corporate Partner Ben Spiers was named “Dealmaker of the Year” at The Deal Awards Europe on October 30. Ben was recognized for his work on significant M&A transactions over the past year, including advising Refinitiv in its announced acquisition by the London Stock Exchange. In addition, Simpson Thacher was named “Energy and Industrials Firm of the Year,” and the Firm’s representation of Versum Materials in its acquisition by Merck was awarded “Energy and Industrials Deal of the Year.” The Deal Awards Europe recognizes the leading advisors to the international deal economy and celebrates the individuals and firms that set the trends.
