Simpson Thacher recently represented Caterpillar Inc. in connection with its registered offering of $1.5 billion aggregate principal amount of Senior Notes in two tranches due 2029 and 2049, with net proceeds of the offering used to fund discretionary U.S. pension plan contributions.
Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
