Simpson Thacher recently represented Shinsei Bank, Limited (“Shinsei Bank”), J. Christopher Flowers and entities affiliated with J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC (the “Selling Shareholders”), in connection with a global offering of 43,535,000 shares of common stock of Shinsei Bank by the Selling Shareholders at a public offering price of ¥1,387 per share. The Selling Shareholders received all proceeds from the offering.
Shinsei Bank is a diversified Japanese financial institution providing a range of financial products and services to both individual and institutional customers.
The international joint lead managers for the international offering were Merrill Lynch International, Citigroup Global Markets Limited and Nomura International plc.
