Mizuho Financial Group Completes Offering of an Aggregate of US$2.75 Billion of Notes

The Firm recently represented Japan’s Mizuho Financial Group, Inc. (“MHFG”), in connection with its offering of US$1 billion of 2.721% Senior Fixed-to-Floating Rate Notes due 2023, US$500 million of 2.839% Senior Fixed-to-Floating Rate Notes due 2025, US$750 million of 3.153% Senior Fixed-to-Floating Rate Notes due 2030 and US$500 million of Senior Floating Rate Notes due 2023. The offering was made pursuant to MHFG’s shelf registration statement on Form F-3 under the Securities Act. Mizuho Securities USA Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC  were representatives of the underwriters for the offering. MHFG is a Japanese bank holding company that is the ultimate parent company of the Mizuho Group, one of the largest financial institution groups in the world.
