The profile highlighted the Firm’s role advising the special committee of the board of directors of GGP on its $28 billion acquisition by Brookfield Property Partners, Invitation Homes in its merger with Starwood Waypoint Homes, La Quinta Holding’s $1.95 billion partial sale to Wyndham Worldwide, La Quinta’s subsequent spinoff of CorePoint Lodging and Blackstone’s $7.6 billion acquisition of Gramercy Property Trust.

In the profile, Partner Greg Ressa, Head of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice, discussed the state of the real estate industry by noting that the demand for certain kinds of real estate was changing, largely due to the influence of the technology sector. “As more commerce and retail sales move to the internet, there's a huge demand for industrial properties,” he said.
