Simpson Thacher recently represented National Vision Holdings, Inc. and an entity affiliated with KKR & Co. Inc. in connection with a secondary offering of common stock of National Vision by KKR and other selling stockholders. The offering of 12,500,000 shares of National Vision’s common stock raised approximately $506.3 million in gross proceeds, with the selling stockholders receiving all of the proceeds from the offering.
National Vision is one of the largest optical retail companies in the United States with over 1,000 retail stores in 44 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. With a mission of helping people by making quality eyecare and eyewear more affordable and accessible, National Vision operates five retail brands: America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Eyeglass World, Vision Centers inside select Walmart stores, Vista Opticals inside Fred Meyer stores and on select military bases, and several e-commerce websites, offering a variety of products and services for customers’ eyecare needs.
