Simpson Thacher will be honored at the Sanctuary for Families’ 2018 Above & Beyond Awards in November. The award comes in recognition of work done to assist Sanctuary for Families in supporting the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), the first federal legislation in the U.S. to classify domestic violence and sexual assault as crimes, and to provide funding for the prevention of, and responses to, domestic violence and sexual assault. The event will take place on November 13 at 6:30 p.m. at RUMI event space in New York.
