The Firm also took the number two spot through its representation of EQT, by Partners Jason Glover and Robert Lee, in connection with the formation and raising of EQT’s flagship private equity fund, EQT VIII. Fourth in the rankings was BC European Capital X, BC Partners' tenth flagship private equity fund, which was guided by Partners Jason Glover and Seema Shah. The top fund closings were featured in an article by Law360 titled “Inside The 10 Largest PE Funds Through Q3 In 2018.” In the piece, Corporate Partner Pete Gilman was quoted on the current state of the fundraising market. “Allocations to PE as an asset class are increasing and deal activity for larger, more capital-intensive transactions is picking up in the PE space, leading to a greater demand and need for PE capital,” Pete said. “Established firms with strong track records are raising large PE mega funds faster than ever, and the buyout industry seems to be firing on all cylinders.”
