Dover Completes Spin-off of Apergy

Simpson Thacher advised Dover Corporation in connection with the spin-off of its upstream oil and gas business into a new independent publicly traded company called Apergy Corporation. Apergy began “regular way” trading on the New York Stock Exchange on May 9, 2018, under the ticker symbol “APY.” Dover continues to trade on the NYSE under the ticker symbol “DOV.”

Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) is a diversified global manufacturer delivering innovative equipment and components, specialty systems, consumable supplies, software and digital solutions, and support services.

Apergy (NYSE: APY) is a leading provider of highly engineered equipment and technologies that help companies drill for and produce oil and gas safely and efficiently around the world.
