EQT Partners to Acquire Certara for $850 Million

Simpson Thacher is representing EQT Partners in connection with its announced acquisition of Certara, the leading provider of technology driven decision support solutions for drug development, from Arsenal Capital Partners for $850 million. This is EQT’s second major U.S. healthcare acquisition – the first being the Press Ganey acquisition in August 2016, in which Simpson Thacher also advised EQT.

EQT is a leading European private equity group with approximately £30 billion in raised capital. EQT has portfolio companies in Europe, Asia and the U.S. with total sales of more than £15 billion and circa 100,000 employees.
