Simpson Thacher represented the initial purchasers, led by J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, in connection with a private placement pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of $550 million aggregate principal amount of 4.75% Senior Notes due 2027 issued by Verisign, Inc. (“Verisign”). Verisign intends to use the proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes, including, but not limited to, the repurchase of shares under its share repurchase program.
Verisign is a global provider of domain name registry services and internet security, enabling internet navigation for many of the world’s most recognized domain names and providing protection for websites and enterprises around the world.
