Simpson Thacher recently represented the initial purchasers, led by Barclays, BMO Capital Markets, Credit Suisse and Macquarie Capital, in connection with the issuance of a $350 million aggregate principal amount of 5.625% Senior Notes due 2022 by GFL Environmental Inc. (“GFL”). The proceeds of the offering were used to refinance existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes, including future acquisitions and organic growth initiatives.
GFL, headquartered in Toronto, is a leading Canadian diversified environmental services company with solid waste and liquid waste operations. Through its national platform of operations, GFL serves approximately 80,000 commercial, industrial and institutional customers.
