Litigation Partner Buzz Frahn was quoted in a Reuters article “Trump travel ban back in U.S. courts next week as battles stretch on.” The article discusses how two U.S. appeals courts, the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Virginia and the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in California, will consider whether the revised travel ban is constitutional. The legal fights may reach the U.S. Supreme Court this fall, many months after the executive order was first issued. Some argue that the fact that so much time has passed since the ban was first issued is proof that there was no real pressing national security need for the order.
