The twenty-ninth annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute will be held March 30 – March 31, 2017 in New Orleans. The Institute has been called “the equivalent of Davos for the rainmaker crowd” by The New York Times and “the most important gathering of its kind” by Corporate Control Alert. M&A Partner Eric Swedenburg will speak on a panel titled “The Return of Appraisal Rights – Who Would Have Expected Impact on Deal Making in 2017?”, co-moderated by Chancellor Andre Bouchard of the Delaware Court of Chancery.
In connection with the Institute, M&A Partner Rob Spatt, who is the Co-Chairman Emeritus of the Institute, has updated his annual article on the use of stock and cash in M&A transactions, has updated with his co-author M&A Partner Mike Holick, his annual article on social issues in M&A transactions, and, with his co-author Eric Swedenburg, has updated to its twenty-first annual version, his oft-cited article on deal-jumping.
