Litigation Partner Buzz Frahn was quoted in The Recorder and The Am Law Litigation Daily on the potential effects of President Trump’s revised executive order banning immigration from six Muslim-majority countries on lawsuits challenging the initial order. The article, “Three Questions Trump’s New Order Injects in Travel Ban Litigation,” discusses how the order might influence pending cases, whether or not the changes to the order will satisfy judges who blocked the original ban and whether or not the changes preclude opponents of the order from arguing that it discriminates against Muslims. Buzz, who leads the Firm’s efforts in aiding those affected by the travel ban and oversees a team tracking travel ban cases across the nation, suggested that, although the new executive order remains vulnerable in terms of its factual justifications, it will require “some more careful aiming” from opponents.
