Simpson Thacher recently represented the international joint lead managers in connection with a follow-on offering of AEON REIT Investment Corporation, which included an international offering to institutional investors pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. The offering raised approximately ¥35.7 billion (US$312 million) for the issuer, which was used with bank financing towards the acquisition of four new properties. Mizuho International plc, Nomura International plc, Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Limited and SMBC Nikko Capital Markets Limited acted as international joint lead managers for the offering.
