Simpson Thacher was again recognized by Law360 as Private Equity Group of the Year for 2016. The publication highlights the Firm’s recent work on a range of multibillion-dollar private equity transactions, including Dell and Silver Lake’s $67 billion acquisition of EMC Corp., the larger ever acquisition in the technology industry, as well as several Blackstone deals. The Firm advised clients on nearly 100 private equity M&A deals between October 2015 and October 2016, totaling tens of billions of dollars and involving companies from a wide range of industries.
