Corporate Partner Mark Brod was quoted in a Law360 article titled, “5 Things To Look For As Brexit Disclosures Get More Specific,” which discusses what public companies should consider when updating their risk-related disclosures following Britain’s vote to leave the European Union. International companies active in the UK market which report results in dollars will have to consider how much of their revenue and expenses are derived from sterling-related transactions so investors have a clearer picture of the company’s foreign exchange risks related to the significant weakening of the British pound. “It’s something that the legal and treasury teams at each company need to do a little homework on to figure out whether the effect is de minimis, or not insignificant, or perhaps material, depending on the company,” Mark said.
