On July 28, the New York office partnered with Bank of America to host 21 rising ninth graders from Legal Outreach’s Pathways to Achievement and Community Transformation (“PACT”) program as part of the Firm’s Urban Education Initiative. The students learned about different jobs within a law firm and a bank and participated in a moot court activity. Twenty-one Simpson Thacher staff members, attorneys and summer associates were joined by Brian A Jones, Director: Senior Investment Solutions Officer, Liquidity Solutions, Global Transactions Services at Bank of America; Kurt Phelps, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, New York City Business Banking at Bank of America and Jennifer P. Muñoz, Director, Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, in participating in this program, which was organized by Paralegal Specialist Kristin Glaudel. Corporate Partner Jaime Mercado gave welcoming remarks to the students.
