Corporate Partners Marni Lerner and Michael Wolitzer were quoted in a Law360 article titled, “Why Demand For LP Co-Investments Continues To Rise.” The article discusses the increased interest in limited partner co-investment alongside private equity sponsors. It attributes the trend to the mutual benefits of co-investments, which grant LPs reduced cost of investing and insight into funds’ business practices and enable private equity funds to more easily invest in larger assets. “LPs are logical partners,” comments Marni.
Michael addresses different types of LP co-investment as well as regulatory concerns related to the transactions and emphasizes the value of detailed disclosures that explain how co-investments are allocated.
