Alan Klein Quoted in Law360 on M&A Activity for First Half of 2016

Corporate Partner Alan Klein was quoted in a Law360 article titled, “Deal Makers Hopeful Even As 2016 M&A Sputters In First Half,” which discussed M&A deal activity throughout the first half of 2016. Market volatility along with other global economic and political factors led to a decrease in M&A deal value in the first half of 2016 compared to 2015. Alan commented that because stock was difficult to value and use for currency at the outset of 2016, it “really impeded a lot of activity that might have otherwise started developing at that stretch.” The outlook for the rest of 2016 also remains uncertain, as fallout from Brexit and the approaching U.S. presidential election could cause potential buyers to “hit the pause button on deal-making.”
