Simpson Thacher is representing Blackstone in connection with its acquisition of a portfolio of seven office assets from Hines Real Estate Investment Trust, Inc. for $1.162 billion. The properties are located in California and Washington and have approximately three million square feet of space.
The transaction is part of Hines REIT’s plan for liquidation and dissolution of the company and is subject to stockholder approval of the plan of liquidation and certain closing conditions.
