05.13.16

Litigation Partner Roy Reardon received the “Servant of Justice Award” from The Legal Aid Society at its 39th Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 12. Chairman of Simpson Thacher's Executive Committee Bill Dougherty introduced Roy, noting his distinguished career and outstanding commitment to pro bono legal services.

The Legal Aid Society is a private, not-for-profit legal services organization, the oldest and largest in the nation, dedicated since 1876 to providing quality legal representation to low-income New Yorkers. It is dedicated to one simple but powerful belief: that no New Yorker should be denied access to justice because of poverty. Simpson Thacher has a long history of supporting the Society, which includes a range of pro bono efforts, from work on criminal appeals to assistance with screening undocumented children for potential immigration relief.
