Simpson Thacher won M&A Team of the Year at the recent Asia Legal Awards 2016 for its representation of clients in a variety of M&A transactions throughout Asia in 2015. The Asia Legal Awards is an annual awards series run by The Asian Lawyer in conjunction with The American Lawyer and China Law & Practice.
The Firm was also awarded IPO of the Year and Securities Deal of the Year, both for its representation of the international managers in connection with the initial public offerings of Japan Post Holdings Co., Ltd. and subsidiaries Japan Post Bank Co., Ltd. and Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
