Simpson Thacher is representing J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as lead arranger, with respect to a committed bridge facility for Emera Incorporated in connection with Emera Incorporated’s proposed acquisition of TECO Energy, Inc. (NYSE: TE) for $10.4 billion (including the assumption of approximately $3.9 billion of debt).
Emera Incorporated is a geographically diverse energy and services company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia with approximately $10 billion in assets and 2014 revenues of $2.97 billion. TECO Energy, Inc. is an energy-related holding company with regulated electric and gas utilities in Florida and New Mexico.
