Simpson Thacher represented Silver Lake Partners, as the sole initial purchaser, in connection with its purchase of $1 billion of 2% Convertible Senior Notes of Motorola Solutions, Inc. (“MSI”). A portion of the proceeds of the note purchase will be used to fund a tender offer to purchase up to $2 billion in value of its common stock that MSI has announced its intention to commence on or about August 7, 2015.
