Simpson Thacher represented its long-standing pro bono client The Partnership for the Homeless, Inc. (the “Partnership”), in obtaining the reversal of a decision by the New York City Department of Homeless Services to recoup more than $70 thousand, based on purported audit findings. Advised by Simpson Thacher, starting in July 2014, the Partnership pursued administrative and contractual dispute resolution procedures applicable to contracts with city agencies. On July 14, 2015, the Commissioner of DHS informed the Partnership that the recoupment decision was reversed in full.
The Simpson Thacher team consisted of David Woll and Daniel Stujenske.
