Simpson Thacher has been named to the Financial Times’ 2015 Asia-Pacific “Innovative Lawyers” Report, which honors law firms that consistently create innovative solutions to business problems for their clients. Overall, Simpson Thacher ranked 13th among internationally headquartered firms on the FT Law 25, a list of the most innovative firms in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Firm’s work on the financing of KKR’s acquisition of Goodpack Limited was highly commended in the Finance category. Corporate Partners Chris Bell, Katie Sudol and others advised the company on the transaction.

Simpson Thacher was also commended in the Finance category for advising Laos-based Kolao Holdings in its first bond offering in the international capital markets, a financing made possible by a guarantee by the Credit Guarantee and Investment Facility. Corporate Partner Jin-Hyuk Park led the team advising Kolao on the offering.
