Pro Bono Counsel Harlene Katzman served as a guest faculty member at Cardozo Law School as part of a seminar, Access to Justice and Pro Bono Service, in which she discussed the role of the private bar. The seminar was taught by David Udell, Executive Director of the National Center for Access to Justice; Marnie Berk, Pro Bono Director of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest; and Amanda Smith, Pro Bono Partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP. Harlene gave an overview of pro bono service and how it works, including intake criteria, subject matter priorities, measurement of impact and other key features in law firm pro bono efforts.
