Simpson Thacher represented the initial purchasers, led by J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, in connection with a private placement pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 5.25% Senior Notes due 2025 issued by VeriSign, Inc. (“VeriSign”). VeriSign intends to use the proceeds from this offering for general corporate purposes, including, but not limited to, the repurchase of shares under its share repurchase program.
