Corporate Partner A.J. Kess and Corporate Associate Yafit Cohn were quoted in a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article, “Energy Companies Fight Proxy Access.” The article discusses shareholder resolutions submitted by New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer to 75 public companies, which seek the right of shareholders to nominate corporate directors in the company’s proxy materials, as well as the SEC’s recent announcement that it would not consider any requests for no-action relief this proxy season on the ground that the company is planning to submit to shareholders a conflicting proxy access proposal of its own.
