The Firm is representing J.P. Morgan Securities LLC in its role as financial advisor to the Conflicts Committee of the Board of Directors of Regency Energy Partners LP (NYSE: RGP) (“Regency”) in connection with Regency’s announced unit-for-unit merger, including a one-time cash payment to Regency unit holders, with Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (NYSE: ETP), valued at approximately $18 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2015.
Regency is a growth-oriented, master limited partnership engaged in the gathering and processing, compression, treating and transportation of natural gas; the transportation, fractionation and storage of natural gas liquids; the gathering, transportation and terminaling of oil (crude and/or condensate) received from producers; and the management of coal and natural resource properties in the United States.
