Simpson Thacher represented affiliates of Equity Office Properties in connection with the $2.2 billion sale of Three Bryant Park to affiliates of Ivanhoé Cambridge and Callahan Capital Properties. The 1.2-million-square-foot Three Bryant Park office property is located at 1095 Avenue of the Americas between 41st and 42nd Streets and is one of the most prominent office properties in New York City. It has been reported that the transaction is the second largest sale ever for a single office building in the United States, trailing only the sale of Manhattan’s GM Building for $2.8 billion in 2008.
