Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Enters Media Partnership with Meredith Corporation

The Firm represented Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (“MSLO”) in connection with its entry into a ten-year partnership with Meredith Corporation, whereby Meredith will assume ad sales, circulation and production of the Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Weddings magazines, as well as operate related websites and digital assets, in the United States and Canada. Under the terms of the agreement, MSLO’s editorial team will continue to create all content for the above print and digital properties and will retain control over the brand’s social media channels. The new arrangement and its resulting cost savings are expected to improve MSLO’s operating income by as much as $10-$15 million annually. The agreement takes effect November 1, 2014.
MSLO (NYSE: MSO) is a diversified media and merchandising company that reaches approximately 100 million consumers across all media platforms each month. Meredith (NYSE: MDP) is a media and marketing company that is known for service journalism targeted toward women and publishes magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens, Parents and Allrecipes.
