Simpson Thacher recently represented the joint lead managers as deal counsel in an offering by Korea Expressway Corporation ("Korea Expressway") of its US$500,000,000 1.625% Senior Notes due 2017, issued under its US$ 3,500,000,000 Global Medium Term Note Program. Korea Expressway is a government-controlled corporation which is engaged in the construction and maintenance of expressways in Korea. The offering was conducted in reliance upon Rule 144A and Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended.
The offering was led by Deutsche Bank AG, Singapore Branch, Goldman Sachs International, Merrill Lynch International and Nomura International plc.
