The Firm is representing Silver Lake Partners and Mercury Payment Systems, LLC in connection with the sale of Mercury to Vantiv, Inc. (NYSE: VNTV) for approximately $1.65 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2014, subject to customary regulatory and other closing conditions. The Firm previously had been representing Mercury in its proposed initial public offering.
Mercury is a payments technology and services provider for small- and medium-sized businesses in the United States and Canada. Vantiv is a leading, integrated payment processor differentiated by a single, proprietary technology platform.
