The Firm recently represented J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Goldman, Sachs & Co. as initial purchasers in a US$1.25 Billion offering of 7.450% Notes due 2044 issued by The Dominican Republic. The sovereign debt offering was conducted in reliance on Rule 144A and Regulation S and was the largest bond offering to date by The Dominican Republic.
The Simpson Thacher team for the transaction included Jaime Mercado, Jessica Garcia and Fernando Burman (Capital Markets) and Jonathan Cantor and Michael Cardella (Tax).
