Simpson Thacher Defends Suits Seeking to Revoke Princeton University’s Not-For-Profit Tax Status

Simpson Thacher is defending Princeton University in two litigations brought in tax court in New Jersey by taxpayers seeking to revoke Princeton’s property tax exemption.  The suits are based on payments to Princeton faculty of millions of dollars in royalties, and on alleged profit-making activity by the University.
