Simpson Thacher represented Oaktree Capital Group, LLC in the registered follow-on offering of 5.0 million Class A units representing limited liability company interests. BofA Merrill Lynch was the underwriter for the approximately $297 million offering. Oaktree intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to acquire interests in its business from certain of its directors, employees and other investors.
