The Firm is representing Fieldwood Energy LLC ("Fieldwood"), a portfolio company of Riverstone Holdings LLC, in connection with the financing relating to its announced acquisition of SandRidge Energy Inc.’s (NYSE: SD) (“SandRidge”) Gulf of Mexico business, which comprises all of Sandridge’s Gulf of Mexico and Gulf Coast properties, for $750 million of cash and the assumption of $370 million of abandonment liabilities.
Fieldwood, based in Houston, Texas, is focused on the acquisition and development of conventional oil and gas assets in North America, including the Gulf of Mexico.
