Corporate partner Glenn Sarno chaired a CLE program for the NY City Bar Association, focusing on (i) hot topics and important considerations for successful fund raising, management and compliance in light of the current priorities and posture of the SEC, (ii) implications of the SEC’s lifting of the ban on general solicitations and advertising for hedge fund and private equity fund offerings, and the new “bad actor” rules and (iii) the impact of recent broker-dealer regulatory developments on fund raising and portfolio company transaction fees.  The program was sponsored by the Committee on Private Funds of the NY City Bar Association, a 43 member committee chaired by Mr. Sarno that is comprised of in-house and outside counsel and consultants addressing legal and regulatory issues affecting private equity funds and hedge funds and other facets of alternative asset management and investing.  Associate Steven Homan serves as the committee secretary.
