Simpson Thacher tax partner John C. Hart will speak at Tax Analyst’s program “Private Equity as a Trade or Business: The Sun Capital Decision”, which will be held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Friday, September 27th. The program will be a roundtable discussion featuring Mr. Hart and four other speakers who will discuss the income tax implications for private equity funds of a recent First Circuit decision involving pension underfunding of a portfolio company.
