Simpson Thacher intellectual property partner Lori E. Lesser will moderate the General Counsel Panel at the ChIPs (Chief IP counsels) Women in IP Global Summit on October 2, 2013 at the Mandarin Hotel in Washington, D.C. The conference convenes 250 women leaders in the intellectual property and technology field, including corporations, academia, law firms, the judiciary, executive branch and non-profit sector to discuss issues relating to intellectual property. The panel will address critical issues facing the tech industry, the GC’s role as chief lawyer and legal department CEO, and women’s leadership at public companies and the legal profession. ChIPs was founded by seven senior IP lawyers in leading Silicon Valley companies to promote the advancement, development and retention of women in patent and IP-related fields.
