Simpson Thacher corporate partner Marissa C. Wesely spoke at the 15th annual Global Private Equity Conference in Washington, D.C. on May 15, 2013. The conference, "Emerging Markets Private Equity: Taking Center Stage,” was hosted by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), in association with Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA). Ms. Wesely spoke on the panel entitled “Investing in Women” along with Melanne Verveer, the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues, Dina Powell, the Global Head of Corporate Engagement of Goldman Sachs and Head of Goldman’s “10,000 Women” Initiative, and Jackie VanderBrug, a Senior Vice President at U.S. Trust and National Advisor at Gender Lens Investing.
