Simpson Thacher Hosts Students from KGIA as Part of the Firm’s Urban Education Initiative

On April 10, the New York office hosted 14 high school freshmen from the Khalil Gibran International Academy (“KGIA”) in Brooklyn as part of the Firm’s Urban Education Initiative. The students learned about different jobs within a law firm and participated in a moot court oral argument. Twenty-one Simpson Thacher staff members and attorneys participated in this program, which was coordinated by Litigation associates Meredith Duffy and Amanda-Jane Thomas. Litigation partner William T. Russell Jr. gave welcoming remarks to the students.
