Corporate partner Marissa C. Wesely was named "Finance Lawyer of the Year" at the 2013 Chambers USA Women in Law Awards. She is recognized for her extensive banking and finance experience as well as for her contributions to diversity programs at the Firm and in the broader legal community.
Another Simpson Thacher partner recognized by Chambers at this event included Elizabeth A. Cooper, who was nominated for "Up and Coming Finance Lawyer of the Year."
The Chambers USA Women in Law Awards were developed to recognize outstanding female lawyers who have also significantly contributed to the advancement of women in the law. Chambers conducted their own research to determine the top individuals in each category.
