Simpson Thacher corporate partner Nicholas J. Shaw will co-moderate a panel at Practising Law Institute's "Twelfth Annual Institute on Securities Regulation in Europe: Overcoming Deal-Making Challenges in the Current Markets" on February 1, 2013 in London. The panel Mr. Shaw will moderate, "Leveraged Finance: Market Update and Key Trends," will discuss the latest structures for high-yield issuance in Europe and what problems they pose, issues that arise in accessing the U.S. markets for European issuers, whether intercreditor issues have come to rest between the bank market and the bond market and what issues are outstanding, and recent developments in high-yield bridges as well as alternatives.
