After a hearing before Immigration Judge Philip Morace, our client, a lawful permanent resident since 1975, was granted cancellation of removal. The government initiated removal proceedings against her based on a misdemeanor conviction that occurred over ten years ago. The matter was part of the Firm’s Immigration Removal Defense Program with the Legal Aid Society of New York. The STB team consisted of Hiral Mehta and David Caldwell and was supervised by Juan Arteaga. The program is overseen by Paul Gluckow.
